Jalen Darden

Jalen Darden is a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Addictions graduate student at East Carolina University. She is a proud alumna of North Carolina Central University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Jalen has a strong passion for supporting maternal mental health and enhancing sexual wellness. Her academic focus and clinical interests lie at the intersection of maternal mental health, reproductive psychology, and sex therapy. Her aim is to empower individuals and couples through their unique challenges.

Jalen is the recipient of Postpartum Support International (PSI) Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color’s (PMHA-POC) Scholarship for Robeson County, NC. The scholarship covers the Perinatal Mood Disorders Components of Care Training and Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training which will equip Jalen with specialized training to inform her practice as a BIPOC clinician.

Jalen resides in Durham, NC, and she enjoys golfing!
